    Cupertino Program Description

    Cupertino Home is a Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) home which houses adult men with developmental challenges.  It is a community based program, which focuses on the client’s needs and aspirations.  A broad range of support services and levels of supervision are provided, with the goal of meeting individual needs, maximizing community integration and promoting independence and economic self-sufficiency.  The array of services includes but is not limited to:

    • Assessment of functional and vocational skills.
    • Training in Independent Living Skills (ILS) in the areas of: nutrition, meal planning, shopping and preparation; money management and banking.
    • Training in daily living skills including; personal hygiene and clothing care.
    • Training in behavioral and personal management.
    • Training in social and recreational/leisure skills.
    • Involvement in the community based on the individuals needs and desires, balanced with safety and risk factors.
    • Monitoring and supervising of individual’s financial records including, personal needs, medical payments and desired spending.
    • Providing supported employment, or community job placement.
    • Providing transportation.
    • Providing assistance for all the necessary health services
    • Monitoring of medical services and training in self-administration of medications.
    • 24-hour supervision and assistance in all areas.
