Clare Woods students learn to work by participating in the school work program and by involvement in the Community Work experience. Students are first assessed for interest, aptitude, and work site preferences between the ages of 14 and 16 years. From ages 15 to 18, hands-on experiences are provided by “in school” jobs such as working in the dining room, performing custodial duties, helping with office tasks, and completing work center jobs provided by community clients. |
